Future of Neighborhood Pollinators – Sandy Gross

New study suggests that humans would only live for 4 months if the bees were extinct. 

What can we do?

• 1.       Mention the importance of pollinators in newsletter.
• 2.       Pursue pollinator-friendly plants at the Duke Energy Substation site.
• 3.       Install native bee houses around in Oakley.
• 4.       Sandy to present at a public meeting what people of Oakley can do – differentiate what is and what isn’t a ‘pollinator’.
• 5.       Install pollinator-friendly plants on the land near the Oakley Recreation Center.
• 6.       Reach out to Park Board about the possibility of pollinator plants on the Esplanade.

Summer 2019 Schedule – Colleen Reynolds

Master Plan is being presented next month (June) – lets have Jared present the plan and hold questions until everyone has a chance to review it. Suggestion to have a Master Plan specific meeting in July.

Neyer Properties is requesting an interactive meeting on preferences for the future of their site in June.

Colleen Reynolds to make rounds with members of City Council to give an update on what’s going on in Oakley and what projects we’re currently pursuing.

32 fire and 184 EMS runs in April. Important to install smoke detector at the highest point in the room; replace smoke detectors if they are older than ten years. Red Cross provides Fire Department with smoke detectors if you need one.

Narcan usage has slowed down – only 3 reported for April

Microwaves should not be plugged into extension cord – plug them directly into a wall.

25 thefts (including thefts at Target, Meijer and Kroger). One person was responsible for 11 of the 25 thefts at Kroger. Be mindful when using crosswalks.

175 kids registered for summer camp. CRC will be closed the week of 5/26 for a deep clean.

COMMITTEES

Gateway Project

Only one bid was returned for the project for $2.1 million; we had $1.9 million budgeted. If we wait to the do the project, construction materials could rise, and we may not receive any additional bids. OCC scaled project down to $1.3 million and can only afford to fix one pedestrian bridge. There was a lengthy discussion at the 4/18/19 meeting about options. The $1.3 million option no longer requires OCC to spend $90,000 in OCURC funds.

Motion to support the Gateway project base bid of $1.3 million by Dave Schaff; seconded by Sean Fausto.

It was suggested that OCC should draft a separate, detailed letter to the City about what the OCC would like the remaining ~500k in funds allocated to this project to go towards.

Beautification – Cody Gausvik

50 tree wells were marked on 5/7/19 – Wimberg Landscaping expected to start cleanup this week. If you see an area that’s being neglected, reach out to Cody and he can notify the City.

Oakley After Hours

Well attended event; School of Rock brought out a ton of people to Oakley. School of Rock has been booked for the next three events. We sold 18 cases of beer.

Oakley Master Plan (OMP) – Jared Ellis from the City of Cincinnati

Will be presented to the community soon.

Local Oakley (former CastFab Site) – Bill Davin

Met with DOTE on 3/19/19 for the subdivision of land – traffic study was submitted to DOTE. DOTE believes current infrastructure can sustain this new development (from Disney to the Madison Road traffic lights). DOTE would determine if any new roads need to be built. Current plan is for two hotels, a self-storage facility, restaurants, office space, etc.  

Dan Krohn asked how the pedestrian bridge would fit into their development. Working with DOTE, Local Oakley created a space in their plan for a potential landing spot for the bridge. This location is subject to working with Duke Energy and the railroad. DOTE asked that the bridge be 10 feet wide to accommodate both pedestrians and bicycles. No funding for this bridge has been developed at this early stage, but both Local Oakley and Neyer plans are being reviewed by DOTE with the prospective bridge in mind.

Bill plans to attend an upcoming Planning Commission meeting (shooting for the second meeting in June).

Bill has received over 100 different layouts of what could be on the sites.  

Master Plan’s expectation is that green space should be included in this development.

Resident asked about environmental concerns: they are participating in the Ohio Voluntary Action Program currently.

Tax Abatement: will be dependent upon each individual lot.

They are here tonight to request a letter of support for the subdivision of land at the site.

Motion to provide a letter of no opposition to the platting as presented, containing the proposed pedestrian/bike bridge, access to the right of way on the north-end of the property, with consideration of green space, tax abatements, individual site plans and TIFF, contingent on the City’s approval of the traffic impact study by Kenny McNutt; seconded by Seth Shaifer. Unanimous approval; motion passes.   

NorthPoint Development – Fred Kindle and Johnny Sweeney

Seeking Community Reinvestment Area “CRA” (tax abatement) from the City for 10 years.

Value of building is $6.5 million once constructed. Employing two full time employees.

Here tonight to request a letter of support for a CRA – requesting 55% tax abatement.

Oakley would receive ~12.5% of taxes generated from project.

Motion to provide a letter of support for CRA tax abatement by NorthPoint development as requested, contingent upon a signed CRA application as submitted to the City by Dave Schaff, seconded by Dan Krohn. 9 approved; Cody Gausvik opposed. Motion passes.

Here tonight to request a parking variance for “outdoor storage parking” for RVs, moveable vehicles etc.

Motion to provide a letter of support granting the parking variance contingent upon additional landscaping and greenspace to buffer the landing of the pedestrian/bike bridge by Dan Krohn; seconded by Sean Fausto. 4 approved; 4 opposed. Motion fails. Cody Gausvik, Evan Nolan, Seth Schaifer and Colleen Reynolds opposed. Kenny McNutt Abstained.

Hubbard Radio – Mike Heekin, Mike Fredrick

Privately-held local company in Cincinnati (broadcast B105, Q102, MIX 949, etc.); 100+ full-time employees.

Requesting variance for 190’ monopole on the property. Monopole will not contain flashing lights. Hubbard is spending $75,000+ to make it a monopole rather than a traditional radio tower.

Dry detention pond will be installed - 100-year storm grade.

Ryan Schwallie and Darin Bowman (homeowners directly adjacent to the property) expressed their concerns about the monopole height and location of detention pond. Both residents are opposed of development of monopole and detention pond. Requesting a copy of the detention pond study.  

President of Hubbard to provide requested documents to all homeowners.

Motion to provide a letter of support for the monopole variance request by Hubbard Radio as presented tonight, without lights on the monopole by Sean Fausto; seconded by Seth Shaifer; Unanimous approval. Joe Groh abstained.

Tide Cleaners – Oakley Location, Brandon Gilstrap

Plan to open 6/21/19; P&G will own it. 10/15 jobs will be created. Seeking LEED certification.

Ault Park Fireworks

Requesting $500 for Ault Park fireworks. Discussion on if OCC should sponsor fireworks.

Motion to provide $500 sponsorship to the Ault Park fireworks by Jason Wilcoxon; seconded Kenny McNutt. Unanimous approval; motion passes.  

Cincinnati Educational Justice Coalition - Michelle Dillingham

20% of all abatements in Cincinnati went to Hyde Park and Mt. Lookout.

Public hearing on tax abatement issues and how they’re effecting our school on 5/8/19, 4:30PM School Board office on Burnett Avenue. 

Chris Smitherman has created a working group that will meet on Thursday 5/16 9:00AM; 805 Centennial Plaza.

Oakley Recreation Center – Evan Nolan

Many on the OCC and in the community have worked on this project for many years.

$4.5 million is currently allocated for the Oakley Recreation Center. New proposal is for the recreation center to be located where the current tennis and basketball courts are. Evan has been engaging with Ignite Philanthropy. $45,000 initial cost for Ignite to determine if fundraising goal is feasible. If Ignite determines it can raise $2 million for the project, OCC would receive $45k back. If Ignite determines they can’t raise $2 million for the recreation center, they will still give us access all data and access to their findings. We have been told by the City that we need to decide quickly what our course of action will be to fund the $2 million gap.

Evan Nolan motions to spend $45,000 from OCURC funds to engage Ignite Philanthropy to fundraise for the new east side recreation center; seconded by Jason Wilcoxon. Unanimous approval; motion passes.

MEETING MINUTES

Hubbard Radio: Michael Heekin

OCC previously issued a letter of support for site at the November meeting; tax abatement and land sale was approved by City Council on 4/17. Tonight, Hubbard presented a plan to build a 190ft ‘monopole’ – which is substantially larger than what was previously presented and approved by OCC in November - but Hubbard plans to spend $75,000+ extra to build a monopole, rather than a radio tower. There may be lights located in the middle and on top of the pole. Estimated that 37 kilowatts will be coming from the pole and it will primarily serve as a backup generator.

Additionally, tonight they presented a plan to build a south stormwater detention pond located behind the homes on Madison Road – several residents were present and raised concerns. Resident mentioned concerns with nearby Duck Creek overflow. OCC to provide contact information for someone at the City who can address the detention pond questions.  

There will be a zoning hearing for a variance to build the monopole tower.  Hubbard will return next month to request a letter of support for the monopole.

Northpoint Development: John Sweeny

Self-storage, climate-controlled storage facility site. Presented updated parking and landscaping with screening.

Pedestrian bridge – they have exchanged emails with Neyer on possibility.

CRA (tax abatement) – still refining.

Variance hearing for parking will be on 5/8.  

Will be asking for letter of support for 10-year tax abatement at 5/7 meeting.

Local Oakley: Bill Davin

Continuing to work with Neyer Properties, Northpoint and DOTE regarding pedestrian bridge.

Craig Rozen suggested we tell the City what the community wants (pedestrian bridge) and have the City pay for the study. (Dan will take the lead on this)

Dan was told that DOTE needs to be involved at this point in the process and OCC was told OCC would have to find the money in our budget to pay for the study. OCC made it clear that the pedestrian bridge needs to be included in site plans for both developments. Viox will provide traffic impact study and will provide to OCC for review.  

Eastern Gateway: Jeff Stine & Kenny McNutt

Project was put out to bid (five contractors, but only one responded). Bid was $1,322,000 and includes the eastern most pedestrian bridge. To do the project with both pedestrian bridges would cost $2,150,000 and over the years, we have secured funding for $1,9000,000. The western most pedestrian bridge would cost ~$828k to restore. If OCC decides to go with the $1.3 million option (including restoration of the eastern most pedestrian bridge), OCC would not be required to spend the 90k that was committed to the project from OCURC funds. The OCURC money could be put towards other Oakley projects. If we wait until the fall to receive additional bids, the bid could go up even more as other neighborhoods have experienced.

Craig Rozen suggested we work with Art Works to paint bridges and underneath railroad bridge – Jeff explained that walls are old and would need substantial repairs before painting.   

The OCC has requested a spot fix bid for the eastern pedestrian bridge and we expect to have that in May.  

Masonic Temple: Resident Letter

30 residents assembled and created a letter advising what they would like the current Masonic Temple to become. Property is currently under contract and inspection is planned for next week.

Residents expressed concerns with a school being built – idling cars, traffic, etc.

Whoever is under contract will have to come to OCC with a plan unless they continue to keep it a Masonic Temple; it is currently zoned as single family.

Nearby residents have stressed the importance of keeping the lines of communication open; they specifically do not want to see houses torn down.

Craig Rozen – if anyone knows of any property available for a school, let CPS know.

Oakley Recreation Center: Evan Nolan

OCC has $3 million set aside for the Oakley Recreation Center. We thought we had $4.5 million and we needed $6.5 million – we never made any progress securing funding.

The money that the City has designated to this project has been borrowed, but still ours for this development. CRC came to OCC and said we need to do something in the next couple of months.

Currently, it’s more expensive to build on current site of the recreation center.

Evan had meeting with the president of CRC. We’ve decided there isn’t as much of a need for a fitness center, so we no longer need the $8 million option. We have about 5-6 months to decide how to proceed.

Option: to fill in the funding gap, OCC could spend $45,000k for an initial study performed by a local fundraiser. If the fundraiser completes the study and decides fundraising for the funding gap is possible, OCC would receive 100% of the $45k back. If fundraise decides they can’t do it or don’t want to do it, they would still provide us with the information they obtained from the initial study for us to use. CRC does not have $45k to spend for the study.

Craig Rozen requested that the development should be mindful of trees in the area due to their age.  

OCC will plan to take a vote on the $45 spend at the meeting on 5/7.

NBDIP Final Application: Joe Groh

Joe presented several options we could spend the $30k on: GoVibrant walking paths, pedestrian safety crosswalk, landscaping, historic signage, etc.

Motion by Joe Groh to support the NBDIP final submission projects as follows: Pedestrian Triggered Crosswalks at Flags USA ($14,700); 6 GoVibrant walking paths ($6,750) and to use any remaining funds for cost overruns or a beautification project. Seconded by Sandy Gross. Unanimous approval; motion passes.

Spring fire hydrant service happening now; sediments in the water can cause clothes to turn a rusty brown color. If you see brown coming out of your faucet, turn all faucets on and let them run clean. If your clothing is discolored, Water Works will send you something to remove sediment from your clothing.

1 breaking & entering incident reported. One person in the area was stealing car keys out of gym lockers, but CPD caught the person responsible. Theft from autos spiked in March – ensure you are keeping things locked up. 2018 was a great year with lower crime rates.

Marburg speeding concern from a local resident – Captain Jones suggested we pick three areas where speeding and traffic incidents are the worst and send those three areas to District 2.

NBDIP (Neighborhood Business District Improvement Fund) – Joe Groh

Presentations are on 5/7, 5/8 and 5/9 from 6:30-9:30PM.

Bus tour is on 5/18 from 8AM-3:30PM – MadTree will serve as “pit stop”  

“New Business District Improvement Fund” [bucket of funds City provides for minor (30k or less) and major (30k and above) new projects]. Oakley awarded 150-year celebratory Reds bench – will be placed within Esplanade this coming week. Beautification & Pedestrian and Walking routes are 2019 objectives for NBDIP.

Beautification: hillsides and a right-of-way grassy island near Heritage Apartments – plantings to encourage pollinators. Zoo has initiative where you can register your yard and you get a plaque. Local neighborhoods are competing against each other. City expressed interested in placing greenery around the gateway bridge near MadTree. Cleanup around Duke Energy substation on Madison and Ridge – Warren Walker (Manager, Government & Community Relations) was in attendance to hear our proposed plans. Pedestrian Walking Paths (partnering with non-profit, GoVibrant): 1, 2 and 3 mile walking paths for Oakley. Organization will create signage and walking paths; costs range from $1500-$7000. Nearby neighborhoods have implemented walking paths with positive impact. Joe has created several potential walking paths – if you have an idea of a great walking path, please let Joe know. Joe is seeking feedback for current proposed projects, too. Submission is due on 4/19 to the City.  

Dan encouraged Cody and Sandy to be a part of the process.

Beautification – Cody Gausvik

Project to clean up and maintain tree wells within our neighborhood business district (Gill’s to rail road tracks on Madison) Tree well maintenance is the responsibility of the property owner. Initiative budgets money for spring cleanup, mulching, two summer/early fall cleanups and weed prevention for 2019.

Motion by Dave Schaff to approve $1,000 of NSP funds, $1,000 of NBD funds and $1,300 from operating fund for tree well project as presented; seconded by Sean Fausto. Unanimous approval; motion passes.

Oakley Master Plan (OMP) – Jared Ellis from the City of Cincinnati

2 year ongoing process. 5/7/19 meeting – current plan to present finalized report to public. After, it will go back for revisions and OCC Trustee discussion. Lastly, City Council will approve.  

Business Committee

1^st Tuesday of each month is Business Happy Hour at 8am at RedTree – 7 people in attendance this morning. Next business happy hour is 4/23; Rohr Insurance and Nimbus Nine hosting.

Body Alive – Nick Broerman

Owner purchased single-family home behind current studio to serve as headquarters/office space. Their plan is to keep the house intact, but re-design the garage to be a fitness studio. Requesting a Notwithstanding Ordinance, which would allow for Body Alive to use the house for office space as long as Body Alive owns the house. If Body Alive moves or sells the property, the house would revert back to single-family housing.  

Motion by Cody Gausvik to provide a letter of objection to the notwithstanding ordinance and for Body Alive to not convert the house from single-family to commercial usage. Motion withdrawn after discussion.

Camden Land Group – Dutch Cambruzzi; Douglas J Hine; Scott Kyle

3912-3914-3916 Edwards Road – interested in hearing what the community desires for the site. Top priority for residents is to make Hyde Park Avenue a true cul-de-sac and close off all traffic from cutting through Hyde Park Rare Coin’s parking lot. Current site includes houses in severe disrepair.

Proposing 8 single-family condos/landominiums - each would have two car garage. Three spots for guest parking included in plan.

Requesting letter of support for two variances:

(1) Asking for setback of 13ft on front and back for privacy landscape wall/wooded fence; and  

(2) Zoning change from condo to landominium classification – clarifies each unit is a single family home on their own lot.

Timeline is to close in June and get started ASAP.

Mr. Cambruzzi is onboard with creating mutual cul-de-sac on Hyde Park Avenue. Also willing to come back to another OCC meeting address construction concerns if they occur at the site.

Evan Nolan motions to provide a letter of support for the two variance requests contingent on Camden Land Group’s joint support for moving the barrier back on Hyde Park Avenue to create a true cul-de-sac; seconded by Seth Shaifer. Unanimous approval; motion passes.

Dave suggested we explore an “interim development control”. OCC plans to discuss draft letter at next third Thursday on 4/18. OCC would take a vote at next public community council meeting on 5/7.  

Hubbard Radio – Kathleen Colley (City of Cincinnati Community & Economic Development)

Still working on site plan. Residents expressed concerns that Hubbard has not engaged residents near the proposed development. OCC has instructed Hubbard to attend meetings and our engage community. Colleen Reynolds will remind Hubbard of the importance of engaging the community.

Cody presented informational brief on the Tree Well project, will present for a vote at 2

 Most of the tree wells unkept, recommends OCC pay to do cleanup and

o Wimburg: $2921, $600 mid summer cleanup

They represent digital marketing division. Presented concept of doing some digital/online

Body Alive – Nick Broerman (Body Alive) & Jared Ellis (Planning), Matt Shad (Zoning)

Kathleen Colley (Development Officer/Economic Development) from City of

Cincinnati

Background: They bought house behind their business, want to use as office. Neither occ

nor the city allow them to change zoning from residential to commercial. Their last option

is to apply for Notwithstanding Ordinance, a very rarely used option. If approved would

allow them to use the house as office, would come with very specific conditions they'd have

to meet (outside appearance, etc), does not change the zoning, goes away when they no

longer own the property. City Planning will deny, would get sent to the Planning

Commission.

They will bring to the 2 April Tuesday meeting for a vote. A board straw vote showed most

are against or undecided. Opinions expressed by board and attendees ranged from

support because they are a local business trying to do things the right way, and opposition

because doing so would is counter to the community wishes as expressed in the master

plan and the precedent it might set.

Northpoint Development, CastFab Site – Fred Kindel (Frost, Brown, Todd – attorney),

Johnny Sweeney and Derick Tom (NorthPoint Development)

Cast Fab owner wants to split property into 8 parcels, Northpoint wants to build 3 story

enclosed storage building in the parcel along the railroad tracks. Based in Kansas City, have

reputation for being involved in communities. Would be all inside, with door to drive into

building. Be open for access between 6am – 10pm.

They are looking for a CRA (Community Reinvestment Area) letter of approval from the

board, but we don’t vote on such issues at 3 rd Thursday meetings, will need to present at

next Tuesday meeting.

Oakley Yards – Jeff Chamot, Chris Ziegelmeyer (Neyer Properties)

Neyer Properties is the new owner/developer. Great news is they looking at primarily

residential with single family & condos/townhomes. See it as "extension of existing

neighborhood". Still very early, no specific drawings or plans yet, just wanted to start the

engagement with the community.

They are looking to lease some of the existing buildings in the short term. Jeff has read the

draft master plan and expressed their desire to adhere to that, including potential for some

green space. This would be lower density and appears to reduce demand for vehicle based

Edwards Connector. They have conducted environmental studies and found very little need

for remediation, and they will address those couple spots.

Edwards Connecter – Sean Fausto & Evan Nolan

Several board members had met with city - since both Kenner & Cast Fab properties sold -

to revisit possibility of vehicle connector. That answer was "highly unlikely". Discussion

then moved to a pedestrian crossing across the tracks, city may have money to fund

feasibility study, Kenner/Oakley Yards owner not opposed to idea.

Kennedy Connector & Morelia Group – Since there were residents and the city in

attendance, Colleen asked if anyone had anything new to report: nothing new to report.

Habits – They submitted a request for extension for a liquor license transfer, which had an

incorrect address. Upon checking with habits ownership, Joe found out the intended

address was the Oakley Laundromat. In talking with Mark Rogers, Joe was told that the new

owner of the building Habits leases space in has not been open to discuss a lease with

Habits, and is actively looking to bring in a new tenant. So Mark plans to move Habits

across the street to the laundromat building, which he owns. He said that he has talked

with city officials (buildings, zoning) and that he had their ok. Matt Shad (city Zoning) stated

that there had been preliminary discussions but that no formal application/hearings have

happened to this point.

Visited tonight to solicit feedback. Requested a letter of support for subdivision of land. OCC waiting until 4/2 when there is a better idea of what may go on the land to issue any statements. Not clear how this development would impact the proposed Edwards Connector.

Kennedy Connector – Morelia Group, Chris Hildebrant

Wants to acquire city-owned property at the corner of Madison Road and Kennedy Avenue, as well as 7 single-family homes for 25,000-30,000 square feet of retail. Front of buildings would be brought up to the road and parking would be behind the building. Asking if OCC would support zoning change and allow for the tear down of 7 single family homes. Hubbard radio may also be interested in the property and are expected to come back to OCC for final site approval on 4/2. OCC to discuss this topic at the next third Thursday on 3/21.

Provides ability to add much more info about yourself – medical history, emergency contacts, medications, etc. – than current system. It is a nationwide system, so your data travels with you.

District 2 Police Report:

• ·        Officer Tarvin (neighborhood liaison officer) – Thefts from autos down, thefts primarily in commercial and construction sites. Be aware of joggers, can be hard to see, as there more out now in prep for Flying Pig this spring.
• ·        Capt Jones – Dist 2 Chief, grew up in Oakley. Their focus in 2019: traffic enforcement, theft prevention, Cards on Cars program.
• o   Question raised about how to handle cases where neighbor may be exhibiting mental health issues. Capt Jones says always best to call them sooner than later, and allow them to deploy appropriate resources. Calls/emails should be to Officer Tarvin who can then get right people involved.
• ·        Evan, on behalf of the board and community, thanked CPD for their service and offered condolences for the recent loss of officers in the Cincinnati area.

Go Vibrant creates established walking routes for local neighborhoods. 6-8 month process.

Kathleen Colley – Department of Community & Economic Development: Eastern Gateway & Hubbard Radio Location

Eastern Gateway has been put out to bid – bids are due 2/1/19. DOTE will be selecting design team. Planning to start construction in the summer of 2019; target completion is November 2019. Kathleen Colley confirmed that OCC’s $90k contributed to the project will be the last sum of money to be used for this project – if project comes in under budget, OCC could receive all or a portion of the $90k back. 

Hubbard Radio has extended their lease at their current location. They are planning to start construction on the Oakley location by summer 2019. Large radio tower may not be needed after all, but OCC will monitor. Colleen to work with City to determine what impact a radio tower would have on the health of nearby residents. Colleen will reach out to contacts RE: Hubbard construction to see if they have an update on if there will still be a radio tower and if so, the height of said tower.

Updates from Colleen:

Body Alive purchase of house at 4213 Appleton – zoning change hearing was cancelled. Owners are seeking different option for the property rather than using it as their office space.

Former Cast Fab site has been sold (28 acres total). Colleen met with owners this week to inquire what their plans for the space are. Current plan is for two hotels, retail/restaurant space, a storage unit facility, a high-rate apartment building (PLK Properties) and an office building. Colleen encouraged owners/developers to engage with OCC as more details about the plan are decided.

Milacron Site – Colleen planning to meet with owners next week.

Email from Jeff Pastor’s Chief of Staff: Oakley developer “is very interested in the Kennedy Connector Project and has been engaging with the OCC.” Colleen to confirm OCC has not been engaged in what the plans for the Kennedy Connector are.

Masonic Temple – in process of being purchased; stay tuned.

Pedestrian Safety – Joe Groh

Joe pulled data from several sources and created presentation showing pedestrian accidents that have occurred in Oakley. Oakley is trending downward, which may require us to really push for pedestrian safety measures in Oakley.

Fleet Feet/Essencha Tea Lighted Crosswalk – expected to be completed within the next two months. Flaggs USA and Shaw/Wasson locations are next areas to target for improved crosswalks. Joe proposed creating a “Walkable Oakley”/”Keep Oakley Walkable” imitative – subcommittee of the OCC? OCC to discuss details at retreat. Craig Rozen suggested OCC to schedule time with contacts at the City to discuss pedestrian safety and how we can improve pedestrian safety measures.

Daddy Daughter Dance (2/10) – Early session is sold out; over 100 tickets available for later session. We have generated $8,000 revenue thus far.  

New Year’s Eve Fireworks – 65 degree evening; 300+ attendees; $4,690 total cost. Big thank you to Stacy Lehman and Rob Wetterstroem for their efforts.

Membership Proposal – Dan Krohn

Dan shared his proposal for a membership campaign to gain more OCC members; our plan is to send mailer out by mid-March.

Dan Krohn motions to provide a mailing to every single Oakley household in March 2019 with the 2019 Events Schedule and a request for OCC membership with a spend of up to $3000. Seconded by Evan Nolan. Unanimous Approval.

Hubbard Radio – Michael Heekin

Worse case scenario: 199ft tower will be built – current electrical towers in that area are about 150ft; may not need the tower, but engineers are unsure. Engineers have not decided on location of tower. Economic Growth Committee at the City will review before the vote goes to Cincinnati City Council.

Former Cast Fab Land Purchase

Purchase happened after OCC Agenda was posted. We’ve encouraged new owners for their participation with the OCC. Colleen Reynolds has a meeting scheduled with new owners next week. They will be required to involve OCC at some point; more to come.

Body Alive - Nick Broerman

Purchased house behind their business; want to convert the space for their offices. Change will require zoning change. More to come.
