I came away from the meeting that this band shell was going to be designed from scratch.  A simple Google search finds numerous manufacturers of  bandshells in all types of materials and formats.  Here's a link to just one of many. Pavilions, Shelters, Gazebos and More - General Recreation Inc  Once the footprint desired is determined the potential choices emerge.  No sense trying to reinvent the wheel on this.

One thing that I hope doesn't happen is this island of green space and tranquility in the middle of the neighborhood becomes overwhelmed with a structure which I think there is a real potential for that to take place.

I love the idea of movie nights in the square!

I keep thinking back to an comm council event I attended in east hyde park with my young family, maybe a fall event hosted by HPCC? I loved that there was a fence for safety, and a playground to keep kids occupied. I don’t expect full playground equipment but some sort of climbing feature or a slide, and better fencing to prevent running off to traffic might be helpful? It’s been awhile since we’ve spent time in the square but I’m always hyper aware that cars are zooming by on both sides.

This is such an iconic part of our community and I’m looking forward to more investment. FWIW I could see families reserving for bday parties and whatnot if that’s an option and supports this financially.
