MEETING MINUTES

GENERAL:

Cincinnati Fire Department – Station 31 

Runs are up 1-2% for 2018; expected to go down due to organizational restructuring of the department. Fire recruit class of 40 will start soon.

Had to depart for a run; crime report provided.

CRC Report

Summer Camp registration starts 2/19 (2/11 for previous attendees). Camp will run 6/3-8/9.

COMMITTEES

Oakley Master Plan (OMP) Steering Committee

Met on 1/8/19 – Master Plan could be finalized and ready to present by March 2019. “Neighborhood Guidelines” are being created for new developments with enforcement measures; it’ll be shared with everyone once completed. Audience member suggested that OCC should be notified of teardowns or zoning changes in Oakley – Colleen to check on situation of notifications since OCC used to receive email updates from the City.

Business

Business Coffee Hour – met on 1/8/19.

Open account with CinFed and become an OCC Member, you will receive $50 into your checking account.

“Credit and Coffee” seminar on 2/2 – budgeting, finances in general – open to all!

March – CinFed will be hosting a Women’s Business Showcase. CinFed will also provide (14) $1,000 scholarships via raffle with submitted application online.

Next business happy hour: 1/24/19, 4-7PM at Oakley Pub and Grill.

Daddy Daughter Dance (2/10) – Early session is sold out; over 100 tickets available for later session. We have generated $8,000 revenue thus far.  

New Year’s Eve Fireworks – 65 degree evening; 300+ attendees; $4,690 total cost. Big thank you to Stacy Lehman and Rob Wetterstroem for their efforts.

City Hall Liaison – Evan Nolan, Colleen Reynolds, Dan Krohn, Sean Fausto

Oakley Recreation Center – more news to share in the next coming months.

Membership Proposal – Dan Krohn

Dan shared his proposal for a membership campaign to gain more OCC members; our plan is to send mailer out by mid-March.

Dan Krohn motions to provide a mailing to every single Oakley household in March 2019 with the 2019 Events Schedule and a request for OCC membership with a spend of up to $3000. Seconded by Evan Nolan. Unanimous Approval.

Hubbard Radio – Michael Heekin

Worse case scenario: 199ft tower will be built – current electrical towers in that area are about 150ft; may not need the tower, but engineers are unsure. Engineers have not decided on location of tower. Economic Growth Committee at the City will review before the vote goes to Cincinnati City Council.

Former Cast Fab Land Purchase

Purchase happened after OCC Agenda was posted. We’ve encouraged new owners for their participation with the OCC. Colleen Reynolds has a meeting scheduled with new owners next week. They will be required to involve OCC at some point; more to come.

Body Alive - Nick Broerman

Purchased house behind their business; want to convert the space for their offices. Change will require zoning change. More to come.    

Approve 12/4/18 Meeting Minutes

Motion to approve 12/4/18 Minutes by Joe Groh; seconded by Sean Fausto. 9 approvals; 12/4/18 minutes approved.

Seth Shaifer and Sandy Gross abstained.

December OCC financial report – Jason Wilcoxon

Motion to approve December financials by Evan Nolan; seconded by Joe Groh; unanimous approval

Jason proposed creating 2019 budget.

Motion to adjourn meeting by Sean Fausto; seconded by Colleen Reynolds. Meeting ends at 8:10PM.
