Big changes could be coming to Oakley, particularly if you live in the area highlighted in orange, light blue or dark blue on this map:

Note: the Southeast corner of Oakley is impacted because it is within 1/4 mile of the East Hyde Park Business District.

      • Parking: Proposal to eliminate minimums for existing building renovations and relax minimums for new construction. New residential buildings with 10 units or less require no parking, and for every unit above the tenth, half a space would be required per unit. New commercial and mixed use spaces of 5,000 sq. ft. or less require no parking. For any remaining square footage, current parking standard would be halved.

        Please review the draft legislation and email your feedback on the legislation to the Mayor, City Council and City Manager using the contact information below.

        But most important: attend the live meetings that the City has announced and express your position to them directly - it is extremely important for Council to hear from their constituents.
