Nomination Form: Coming soon

Voting Form: Coming soon...

If you would like to be considered in the contest, here are the rules:

  • To enter, we require a clear, “night-time” photo of your finished decorations submitted no later than Sunday, December 6 at midnight.
  • Please try to keep your holiday display lit from dusk until at least 9 p.m. each night through the duration of the season.
  • Addresses of the entered houses and businesses will be made public online and in print for the community to use to drive by all participating displays.
  • When registering, homeowners will provide a “House Title” for the display to be used instead of your name, as well as the exact address to show the location of your display.
  • We’re encouraging the community to help select winners by voting for their favorite entries. Online voting will be open from December 11– December 21. Ask your family, friends and neighbors to vote for your Holiday lights to win! Community voting will account for 50% of the final decision. A judge’s panel from the Oakley Community Council will have the other 50% of the final decision.
  • Winners will be selected in both home and business categories. Prizes for local business will be awarded to each winner.

  • The contest is a fun, family-friendly event.  As we want to keep the focus on the holiday spirit, inappropriate or derogatory signage, including political statements of any kind, will NOT be permitted in this contest. Your entry will be disqualified and removed from voting.
  • All participating houses and businesses agree to have photos of the outside of their house/business and address posted and printed publicly. We will never disclose your name in relation to the addresses printed without your prior approval. Instead, you will submit a “House/Business Title.”
  • The Oakley Community Council assumes no responsibility for broken or damaged displays on the homeowner’s property, or any consequences from abnormal traffic patterns.
  • Votes will be tabulated at the end of the voting period and all results will be final.
